I say arm the whole country. I bet you would see a lot less gun violence this way if the person thinking of using one knew others could retaliate. It takes a big person to rob a store at gunpoint against defenseless people.

 

I am anti gun control as well.
Just stop the idiots from getting them.

 

Its the idiots I want to protect myself, family and friends from. Where there is a will there is a way and you can never prevent someone from getting a gun and using it.

 

I think the main problem with gun control is that Ihave never bought a gun "over the counter" and neither has any crook or thug I have ever met.

I think that arming an entire society isn't necessarily the wisest idea either...... but if it were to happen then each and every member of the household should be made to take gun safety classes and learn that it is not a toy nor something to be taken lightly.

I have been around guns most of my life and you can always tell the guy in the room who hasn't been around them.....he's the one that wants to see it with wide eyes, and when you say ok and hand it to him he immediatley grabs it by the butt and slips his finger onto the trigger, points it at something like he is aiming to shoot and not once in this time has he checked to make sure the chamber is clear and the clip is out as well as the safety being engaged. He is also the one that points it at someone and when people call him on it he says "don't worry its not loaded".

Gun rights are great and I support them....its the idiots that have the guns that scare me.

Regardless, I'm against guns. Even for hunting. Thats no sport, thats lame entertainment. Real hunters use real weapons (ie, bow & arrow, spear, etc)

 

I am against gun control. We have the right to bear arms, and I would appreciate being able to do. Having my government stepping in and changing that to,

In florida, if an intruder is inside your home, you have every right to kill them on the spot, by WHATEVER MEANS possible.

I don't like guns, I don't appreciate guns, but i think there needs to be stricter laws for buying guns. If you MUST own a gun, i think people need to take classes. They need to be more educated about the use of guns and the permanant problems they can create.

I pushed for a gun control class in high school and they wouldn't do it, because they said it "invited the idea that guns are appropriate" I say, It invites the idea that guns are dangerous weapons only to be used in two cases, Protection from unwanted intruders, and hunting. I live in a serious redneck area, everyone has 2 or 3 guns a lot of times more. My mothers boyfriend owns over 200 for hunting. I do not like being around them, and refuse to go to his apartment.

I won't own one, but i do own a metal base ball bat. I lock my doors, and I lock my bedroom door when i sleep. My windows stay closed and locked. If some one really wants to steal from me in the middle of the night, well HAVE AT IT, as long as they don't come into my bedroom they can take WHATEVER material posessions they want.

 

the reason for hunting is not "sport" in most cases. it's herd management. take deer for example. if they are not hunted they overpopulate, become diseased, and starve. it is a neccesity for the health of the population.

a side note.... not trying to be a dick or anything, but try doing some research on these topics. making posts based on assumptions and what you "heard" just makes people disregard what you say. just a thought.

Makes damn good sense to me considering that all these gangbangers who are 16+ have handguns, but you can't legally buy a handgun in CA until you're 21. I tried

Gun control is for the birds, unless you're controlling it from getting into the hands of idiots who will use it intentionally to harm other people, ie. drugdealers, gangs, hitmen, and the like.
