Warner has Decided! "Warner goes Blu-ray"
i'm getting my hd action worth, i got one month of netflix for free and i got 24 hd-dvds in the que.
the only reason I got an hd-dvd player is because it was 100 bucks. i will support blu-ray when the player goes down to 100 dollars also.
until then "hd-dvd all aboard!!! Woo Woo!!!"

Things that finally were addressed in the last 3-4 months:
Interactive Features (Java/HDi)
Secondary decoders for Video/Audio
among other things
All of that has been mandatory for all HD-DVD players from the start. For a snapshot of this just look at the release of 300 on Blu-ray and HD-DVD, the features on the HD-DVD version were years ahead of those on the Blu-Ray version.
Beyond this just imagine what big Sony is going to do to the prices once HD-DVD is out of the picture [Dual format players are still going to be 1000+ dollars so for now I'd forget about that]
and In any case it's been proven that Sony doesn't care about selling anything but a product. Anything to keep it's investors happy is the only way to go when it comes to Sony, it's been that way for years.
Online Connectivity

Sony just likes to assfuck it's consumers into thinking they are getting quality by screaming that it is at the top of their lungs.... remember the swindlers with magic elixirs and wonder creams of centuries past... yeah, them.
Werd. But note that before HD-DVD forced them to go into using AVC codecs they were still utilizing the old MPEG-2 DVD standard in HD with BD-25 discs. All while screaming about AVC and having a 50GB capacity

Maybe you and Sony should hug it out. :hs:

SON OF A BIOTCH!!
LOTR is going to be on Blu-Ray? :wtc:
That doesn't leave a lot for HD-DVD then. Looks like they are going to have to go mainly porn :wtc:

Yeah I already do own the uber SD-DVD versions.
Here is a weird thing. I was watching Resident Evil: Extinction yesterday on my upconverter and it wouldn't upconvert it to 720p. Haven't tried the LOTR discs yet.
some upconverters dont upconvert copy protected discs.
