Well yeah. The HD-DVD supporters would have to switch over to Blu-ray to fully kill HD-DVD.

it just sucks a big donkey cock because there will be lesser movies coming out in hd-dvd. i will have to rent regular dvd's.

that can also be said about the studios that are loyal to HD-DVD and bluray supporters are unable to get movies like top gun, transformers due to their pleged alliance. either way the consumers don't win in a format war.
I'm choosing to sit on the sidelines until their is a clear winner, that still hasn't happened. the only solution is to buy both players, or stick with regular DVDs now.

Paramount and Dreamworks are the only HD-DVD exclusive companies. Everyone else is BR. Yikes.
