found iphone
I have, and I take responsibility for my actions unlike most of america. If I'm a dumbass I pay to get another what ever it is that I misplaced or lost. If I lose my wallet I contact my banks and life lock to make sure things are secured. I cover my ass and I don't expect anyone to back me up or come to my rescue. I protect my computer so I don't have info phished, I have insurance in case I cause an accident. There is ultimatly one person that is responsible for my actions, and thats me. If you cover your ass you'll have minimal problems in life, so to the person that lost their phone boo-hoo. to the person the found the phone, get what you can out of it and appriciate the gift.
skabone, it isnt that much hassle to drop it in the mail or at an apple store. Its not about accountability, its about honesty. If its mine, its still mine whether or not its in my house or a gutter. Its not like someone threw it in the trash.

the IMEI would be registered to apple when they bought/activated the phone, they know who it belongs to unless that person bought it, hacked the activation to work with a different carrier, in which case i dont think ATT would give a crap.
