What if ATT can't find the owner and they just refurb the shit and resell it to someone else
the IMEI would be registered to apple when they bought/activated the phone, they know who it belongs to unless that person bought it, hacked the activation to work with a different carrier, in which case i dont think ATT would give a crap.
