the US has nothing to with this except starting the whole iraq war thing.

but we all know America is the designated scapegoat.

speaking of which...

u see the article where Castro claims that because the US is going to pursue bio-diesel more heavily, America has condemned billions to die of hunger...

we dont do enough to fight against pollution and when we decide to try someone bitches cuzwe are taking our excess corn crops and turning it into fuel

Biofuel is a good first step, especially if we can reduce the farming impacts caused by pesticide use (We don't have to make ethanol-bound corn look pretty for the consumers, thus HEAVILY reducing the amount of pesticides used)... But yeah, I'd really like to see this guy eat a handful of feedstock corn and keep his smile.

it's also completely f'd how it appears that the iran government is forcing the british soldiers to write letters condemning the war in iraq and admitting blame:

I heard this quote elsewhere, and it amused me, so I'll restate it (with this note because I didn't come up with it)

Hear that whooshing noise? That's all the moderate support disappearing
This is the second time Iran's done this. The first time there was some grey area cause the british forces weren't 100% of their location, and they admitted to that. This time... Well, makes me hope that at least the SAS is on a little field trip to their backyard to set some things straight at the very least...

Their actions are rapidly sucking away any of the sympathy I would have over such a territory dispute...

Argh, now this is making me pissed about Iraq. Why'd he have to split our forces instead of concentrating fully on Afghanistan, then on whatever sabrerattling this Persian state has to shake at us? Also, a ground war would be way too costly... Hell, the Ayatollah had freakin children charge machine gun nests armed with only Korans! I wouldn't want to have any US serviceman go through dealing with that...
