Iran really seems to be posturing themselves for a fight that they cannot win. I really want to see the British troops go in and rescue them and kick a little ass. It would be refreshing to see someone else besides us taking agressive action. Usually other nations will join us after we make the first strike.

we've already got Britan's back, there is even a US military build up on the Iran border. you know we're just looking for a reason to unleash hell on Iran and bomb the crap out of them.

my favorite recent highlights:

- UK releases GPS data confirming that soldiers were indeed in Iraqi waters, iran retaliates with their own data that comically places the soldiers in Iraqi waters as well, Iran then releases a second set of data placing the soldiers in their waters.

- Iran was supposedly going to release the female soldier but now claims until the UK admits their troops were illegally operating in Irans waters noone goes home.

Iran is trying to play politics their way. They have a history of kidnapping as a means for political action and its not working, the international community is on one side and iran is on the other. i seriously dont understand where they thought this was a good plan. Iran is running around calling everything everyone does illegal and yet 90% of their actions go against that of the rest of the world.

And the big difference between this time and in 04 when iran took soldiers is that this time the revolutionary guard is the government, not simply a militia style group of thugs.

This is def going to get ugly if it doesnt end soon.

The UK is a little fucked right now, they can't just go in and safe the troops. They have to try to resolve this situation peacefully. Yet they do not want to have diplomatic discussion about this with Iran. What the fuck are the UK thinking?!? do they really want to start a military conflict over this? is it not possible that the ship was infact in Iranian Teritory(before beying forced).

Iranians are so confidant about this that it's a little scary dont you think?

It's a bluff

They want to see a super-power admit they were wrong when they were in fact right......Plus it boosts morale

That would be too big of a bluff to gamble IMO.

How come the UK dont just sit and talk, doesn't mean they are admiting to wrong doing.
