What's the point of rebooting to finish if it won't properly install?


The install program I DL'd from HP keeps freezing. I found the CD, and it keeps freezing when it gets to 49% of the initialization.

I don't know what to do anymore other than give up, reformat, or buy a new PC.

The default printer thing has been happening for a while. Everytime I would try and print something, it wouldn't print unless I remembered to select the correct printer.

Damn. I didn't know the installation only went half way.

I had a problem today w/ Quark. On my Mac I'd hit print, but it wouldn't print to our Brother 8500. I went to Page Setup first, THEN print, and it worked.

i say system restore to a few days ago....at least you should get your printers back
