And Tein is overhyped.

uhhh, i have omni and i love them. the ride quality is better than anything at the $700 level that i found. i dont even think apc makes full coil over. all i can find is coil over, nothing with a strut from apc.

If you have GC's already (and you're not hellbent on buying full threaded coilovers (a huge waste in my opinion if the car will never see a track), you may just want to upgrade to a more agressive shock. I would highly recommend KYB AGX's for the value and quality. I've had Koni Sport Adjustable for most of my cars, and IMO are waaay too fuckin stiff. Even on the softest setting they're pretty stiff. KYB AGX's are 8 way adjustable for compression as well. For value and quality, KYB AGX.

If you are hell bent on a full coilover, Tein Basic's would be sufficient. Tein SS's are adjustable for height and compression, but since you want a good ride, there's probably no need to make it stiffer

I will have to agree with you. Tein, is a proven product...I equate Omni with APC, Tenzo, Hayame...all the wannabe JDM honda-tech users buy :chuckles:

I am not hell bent on full coilovers. But when looking for shocks this is what I found: Koni Shocks Front Shocks: 8610-1415 Sport (Special McPherson strut insert bolted into OE housing after cutting top and removing old internal parts.) What does that mean?

ahhh...that's what i had to do w/ my 01 civic. basically, the company was too cheap to manufacture a whole strut because of the mcphearson strut design. so, you have to hack open the factory struts, empty em out, put the inserts in and bolt em up. kind of a pain in the ass, but it was easy. does KYB make a full replacement?

*edit* i checked kyb's site...seems they have them available for 01+ civics, but RSX's aren't listed. It's basically the same design, so they should be available...i'd hope over to clubrsx.com and give those guys a holler. they'll be able to better answer a question about product specificity.

I dont know but I am not going to go with KYB's I had them on my Civic which was lowered more than 2 inches and the ride was bouncy. I want to be lowered 2 inches without a bouncy ride.

What kind of springs did you have on them and were the KYB's, AGX's? My friend had KYB AGX's and GC's on his 00 civic and the ride was superb.

Other than that, I know Tokico makes a full replacement for the front but I haven't had any experience with that brand.
