ahhh...that's what i had to do w/ my 01 civic. basically, the company was too cheap to manufacture a whole strut because of the mcphearson strut design. so, you have to hack open the factory struts, empty em out, put the inserts in and bolt em up. kind of a pain in the ass, but it was easy. does KYB make a full replacement?
*edit* i checked kyb's site...seems they have them available for 01+ civics, but RSX's aren't listed. It's basically the same design, so they should be available...i'd hope over to clubrsx.com and give those guys a holler. they'll be able to better answer a question about product specificity.
