you want to start running again? I'm a marathon runner myself in hawaii. If you havent run for a while and you want to start running again. I would suggest to take a few miile walk for about two or three days but remember not just a regular walk but a fast walk, this way it will help your muscle to lossen up for a fast phase run. Also remember not to eat to much sweet stuff it will burn your body faster.

well, ive been running on the treadmill for about a month.. i can keep a steady pace of 8min/mile for 3 miles right now. just want to improve and start running outside cuz the treadmill gets pretty boring. ive run a marathon before, and i ran xcountry/track in high school. but its been a while since then.

hydrate the shit out of yourself the day before you go on a good run. like 1 16oz bottle every 1-2 hours. also, follow your workout up with a ton of water and to reduce muscle fatigue the following day, 1 16oz bottle every 1-2 hours the day or 2 after.

so in other words, just drink a ton of water all the time

if you drink alot of water and doing a marathon I will bet that you will have side pain. that's why in a marathon they have water station in every 3 to 5 mile during a run. 1 cup should be good . to reduce muscle fatigue you will need to it alot of carbo and lot's of training

I used to run but I started having problems with my left knee. So I picked up biking, and now do nothing.

I run, out of necessity. The Army likes us to run. Just keep pushing yourself. I never ran before as of 2 months ago, now I do 5-6 miles a day. I can do a 6:30 mile and a sub 40 5 mile. Just keep going, you can go much further than you think. I drink 4-5 bottles of water a day. every day.
