so im planning to start running again. any tips?

i was thinkin about doin the same thing when i get out of school. gonna start on the treadmill, so the neighbors dont see my collapse after one lap around the block :hs:

don't go full blast on your first try ... gradually increase your speed / distance.

The most common thing starting joggers / runners do is go full speed on day 1.

Get good shoes solely for running.
Stretch before and after.
Try to run at an even pace.

Also stretch out...Your gonna be a lil sore regardless but not as bad if you stretch.

if you get shin splints get some heel insoles and run through it

if its cold enough that you can see your breath, you need to keep your legs covered (windpants) to keep your muscles warm, otherwise you will be too tense... (i dont know where torrence ca is )

great tips. imma runa 5k in a couple weeks, gradually build up and run a half marathon by sept, and be ready to do well in a marathon next yr
