Uh yeah, don't do a B18C5 if you wanna run boost. Do a B18C1, even built ITR engines tend to like to go boom after a while, even with a good tune. People get greedy with the boost.

Neither engine is really well suited for crazy boost anyway. H22 suffers from thin cylinder walls and the usual shitty open deck block design, but nothing a set of sleeves can't fix. h:

yeah, like i said.. a little bit heavier.

the extra 400 ccs are nice to have, in any case.

and im gonna second what shawn said. neither the h22 or the c5 are really built for turbo. i'd say b20 vtec turbo ftw.

indeeed but I dnt think I'd boost it for a few years. College comming up... But a H22 would def. make the car faster. Could I get everything from Hasport?

What's your goals with this engine anyway? If you don't want to build it and get the maximum horsepower out of a stock blocked engine you can, I'd shoot for a GS-R.

The B20 is a good platform too, but it again has thin cylinder walls.

I'm pretty sure Hasport will have everything you need.

53xxx LS. I kinda woulden't mind having Vtec. Plus if things aren't done right w/ a Turbo things can get pretty hairy
