What is a better platform for an engine swap? The H22 or the B18 c5? Swap is in2 a 2001 teg.

H22 will be substantially cheaper. You get butt raped for the B18C5 because, well, there's not a whole lot of them to pick through.

what are you trying to do with this car?

the h22 is gonna have a lot more torque, but is a little heavier than the b18c.

make sure you keep a quart or two of oil in the car with ya if you do the h22. :chuckles:

B18C5 is just as bad of an oil burner, and 35 pounds difference in swap weights...in a DC chassis, you won't even feel it.

I'd like to make sure I have everything the way I want it before I turbo it. Because I don't wanna end up changing that.

They make essentially the same horsepower, but you have an additional 400cc of torque to play around with, not to mention a flatter torque curve at a substantially lower RPM.
