Shoplifting charge
anybody else have an idea of what he'll get? He was thinking that they might put him on probation, or in otherwords, he will only get punished and/or have it on his record if he messes up again over the next couple of years. Anybody know if the courts do this, because I have no idea.

You're friend should pay the amount plus the amount for the video game and ask that the charges be dropped. At least he should contact target and talk to their lawyer offer a written apology plus the money billed and the price of the game if he wants to get out of this clean. Might work might not, his fault for stealing tho.

Anyone heard of Target or any other company doing anything like this? Should he send his letter of apology to Target headquarters or to the specific Target?
He should contact the store mgr of the store he SL'd in. Get the lawyer info and drop off a written apology to the store mgr. Maybe if he shows he's sory they'll drop the charges. Doesn't matter if the police did the report if target isn't willing to pursue him.
tell him to go back to target and jack 229.99 worth of crap
and if its reported.. isnt the DA obligated to go through w/the charges.. i was under the impression that target wouldnt have a say..
