I honestly think ... this 4 team race for 3 spots is great.

when the White Sox get in, I would NOT want to face any combination of Buhrle, Garland, Contreras, Garcia, McCarthy, or Hernandez. Those 6 pitchers can be lights out any night of the week.

Even though the Sox have slipped ... they still have the AL's best record and a 2 game lead in the Wildcard / AL Central. It ain't over until someone leap frogs.

 

al east: red sox!
al cent: white sox!
al wildcard: cleveland!

but Pujols & Carpenter are gonna lead the Cardinals all the way.

 

The Yanks are a 1/2 game up and 3 outs away from being 1 game up.

Well the only way for a 1 game playoff possibility is for both the Red Sox and Yankees to win or loose tonight. I hope they both win and the Indians loose but no way the Indians are going to drop two in a row to the Devil Dogs.

This is going to suck because Sunday is looking to be a pivital game and I will be at Gillette Stadium for the Patriots - Chargers (only game I will see in person this year) and will spend the whole time watching the Sox - Yankees on TV...along with everyone else that will be there.
