A bit more critical? :chuckles: He lambasts players when they screw up. That and he also love to fight with the umps. I am sure he would fight with Steinbrenner and the NY media as well. IDK how long he would last without giving himself a heart attack.

okay so i was being conservative in my comments, Pinella acts like an animal toward his players, staff, the umpires, and the media. :reechy:

honestly i am not sure how the division is going to end up. I hope the yankees pull it off and can take out boston.

Chicago is going to take the central and Cleveland will most likely take the Wild card.

As far as Torre goes, I dont see him out, Steinbrenner doesnt want to pay him the 7mil per year for the final 2 years of the contract, and Torre certainly wont walk away from 14 million on the table.

The bullpen is a joke, The problem is that they did make alot of moves but most of the pitchers failed to perform, Rodriguez, Stanton, Embree, Leiter, Proctor, Quantrill.
I cant imagine where we would be tho if Cashman didnt make the move for Chacon and bring up Small

:werd: good point. where did chacon come from? he was a temporary fix and i think he has played well enough that will still be in the stripes next year. funny how there were just trying to fill a spot and had low expectation. Same with Small, verrrrrry impressive.

i think if we can get a year or 2 more from Randy Johnson and Mussina, give Chein Ming Wang some time to develop (and be even better than he already is) and keep Chacon and Small around, the Yanks staff will be extremely hard to beat.

Chacon came from Colorado, he was a starter and a closer at times there.

As far as next years rotation goes, I see Johnson Mussina, Wang, Pavano, and Chacon.

Honestly i see Small as a one year wonder, He is not a solution for the long haul, and Jaret Wright was a bad investment.

he got LUCKY. Very very very very lucky on that move.

Chacon got a boost of confidence when wearing the NY logo ... Small is pitching his brains out.

Someone made a deal with the devil.

Considering the other 8 guys on the team, im not all taht surprised that Chacon is so much more effective with the Yanks than the Rockies.... look how much more he has to work with.
