The Yankees are in a really bad spot right now. Do you:

a) rest your players and set your rotation?

b) go for it all and try to prevent another October 2004

One thing that i thought was a little shady was the rangers giving almost all of their regulars the game or most of the game off in a game that meant something. They had no reason to be resting their players seeing as they had a losing season yet they still benched Soriano, pulled Young, Texiera, and blaylock early on. Trying to give the angels a freebie?

The Yankees could have just won on Sunday instead and then Showalter's moves would have been inconsequencial. h:

Bingo.

The Yankees need to take care of their business first. Why pitch Wright if this game meant so much?

i dont think they cared after they clinched a spot. give mussina that extra days' rest so he plays well in the game that actually matters. as far as im concerned, the white sox and any other team that rested their starters was making a wise decision (that i wish they hadn't made h: )

If they did not care then why did ARod go complaining to the NY press about Showalter?
