Whether it be a 2gigahz Pentium chipped PC with a wicked fast busline or a patient with a traumitized aorta. An individual will have the same love for their respetive field no matter.

Dont worry about what others may think.. if it satisfies your hunger and drives your desire to persue it more then by all means your career/major will ultimately form a more defined "you"

And you'll be happier in the long run

agreed. i think this is the biggest problem i have with it (besides that i think it's the killing of life). it allows people to be irresponsible.

Well, that kinda raises a question.

If the parents are irresponsible enough to get it on and got the girl pregnant....what are the chances that the parents would be irresponsible parents? Pretty high I would say. Foster care? Common now. The foster care system is overcrowded as is IMO. Why bring another life into this world when you know that its chances are pretty focked up. Well, it's just my opinion...don't throw tomatoes at me now

well, here's the thing.. they know they can abort "just in case". if they didn't have the option, maybe they'd be a little smarter. :dunno:

why is it that pro-life people say, "if you can't be responsible then bear the consequences (of birth)".

how is that punishment for the parents if you are forcing a child to live with unwanting parents. You are punishing the wrong party. The people who cannot make prevent unwanted pregnancies are probably irresponsible and careless, so why force them to have kids?

and i'm sorry but you can't say "this is ok except if it's rape, because then you'll have a million people trying to get abortions turning their significant others in as rapists.

When a woman gets raped she is violated and impregnanted without conscent. So what if she's on the pill and she gets pregnant? Doesn't that mean she didn't want to be pregnant in the first place?

pro-life means pro-life, pro-choice means pro-choice, you can't make exceptions.

i think pro-life people would want these people be responsible about sex, not them have the kid as "punishment".

i also don't think they want parents raising the kids if they're unwanted. they have plenty of programs set up to help the pregnant mother, mother-to-be, and the child (wanted or unwanted).

Of course they want to encourage responsible and safe sex, but the solution isn't to force them to go through with pregnancies. Maybe tax abortions ridiculously to ward off irresponsibilities or prevent people from screwing without bound.

and with regards to having programs set up to support the illegitimate and unwanted children, try explaining that to a child when he asks where his real parents are. or why he's white and his parents aren't (or vice versa).

programs like this cost money... if people stopped protesting and burning down homes and put their energy into fund-raising they would have enough money to finance such programs (and probably pay off the national debt on top of that). =]

pro-choice,Heres another point, as long as abortions are legal then they are done safely by doctors. Unlike back alley abortions and DIY kits which are very unsafe and usually end up in the mothers death or cause of aids

Personally, I think it's a lot easier to say your pro-life until you have a condom break, or your girlfriend is late despite being on the pill. It's even going to be a lot harder to keep that stance when your 17 year old daughter is about to leave for college and ends up doing something stupid with her highschool boyfriend before she leaves. I think it's a viable medical option for those who choose to do it, especially in those types of situations. I think it's a terrible form of birth control for people that have unprotected sex without thinking of the consequences. Unfortunately, you can't seperate the one group from the other and say yes to some and no to others.

The thing I can't understand is why other people feel a need to push their belief's on other people. I can understand why someone would want abortion to be illegal, and there are outlets for those people to speak their mind and influence the people who make the laws in this country. I don't understand how somone could stand outside a woman's clinic and throw blood on people and harass them with their propoganda, or even worse, harm the doctors and nurses that work there. That just makes me sick. Seeya.

Pro-life except in cases of rape, if the baby's gonna have serious birth defects (mental retardation etc), or if the woman's life will be in danger from having the baby.

saying it's a woman's right to do with her own body what she wishes if fuckin' bullshit...she's not doing anything to her body, she's destroying an innocent life.
I think abortion is just another excuse for people to not be responsible for their actions. fuck pro-choice...you had enough choices already. You chose to have sex, you chose to do it unprotected....Deal with it!
I can't even believe that this is an issue...just as murder is pretty much universally agreed upon as a bad thing. Abortion is murder, period, end of story.
