"Critical Flaw Found in Firefox"
I use FireFox because it's easier and more user friendly/open to customizations.

do you guys notice firefox eating up a lot of ram when you use multiple tabs and don't close the application for like weeks at a time?
one time firefox was using nearly 200mb of memory. I was surprised. I had not closed the browser in about 10days and had 4 tabs open.

Yea, I notice that right away... after a few hours, FF eats up like 60mb. I just restart.

it probably has a memory leak. a lot of programs have memory leaks, cuz it's an easy mistake for even a highly experienced programmer to make.
IE also seems to not take up as much memory because a good portion of it's core is already embedded in windows. if they made it into a standalone application, it'd probably eat up plenty of memory.
edit: that being said, firefox is a bit on the fat side. despite seeming like a pretty light application, i'm surprised that it takes up as much memory as it does. hope they can slim it down!

In the last 5 months, there are more Secunia advisories for Firefox than IE.
