I find the WRX rather boring; thus I find the 2.5RS rather boring and slow.
Although I guess if you took a 1st gen 2.5RS, hooked up the suspension kinda nice and either turbo'd it or swapped it for a WRX motor then it could be cool.
In stock form though, meh.

before i bought my teg, i had a choice of four cars that i wanted. from greatest to least, 1. 240sx 2. mkII mr2 3. miata 4. subaru 2.5 rs
and then i ended up with a 96 gs-r. don't ask me how. all i know is that i'm driving around with the windows down, system up, screaming i don't give a v-tec YO!

i am just posting because i am really starting to like the 2.5 rs it just has a mean look to it....and as much as i love my teg idk there is something about that car that catches me...i am just asking for opinions and yes if i was to get another car it would only be 98-99 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS in world rally blue....has ne1 driven an impreza 2.5?

ok...I am kinda biased, but I would go with the impreza 2.5RS...I love mine...great handling once you put on a bigger rear sway cause in stock form it plows slightly. I also love the AWD not only for performance, but it made a world of difference in these nasty michigan winters. The boxer motor sounds awesome, and its nice to acutally have some torque. I do agree with fatbooty in the sense that it may be too slow for some, although this is coming form a miata owner

I will have to agree with B16aEGcivic as I just bought my 01 impreza 2.5rs in last augest. You really wont be able to tell until you drive this car. I would say it lacks some power but faster then my old accord and you will not get enough of the AWD. Launches are insane and the AWD is always ready for action. Hell I was driving past my neighbors AWD BMW, and suburban in our last ice storm. The thing just mobs in all weather and grips corners nicely. I have 36-way adjustable D2 coilovers and a bunch of other goodies and seriously its the corners which will take you over.

right now I just have some kyb AGX and I like how it handels :happysad:
oh also if you are gonna get one, get an 00-01...stock LSD in the rear diff.

Yeah the 36 way is nice! Ive yet to do the rear sway but I hear it helps a TON, like its recomended as one of the first mods you do. Now I just have intake, magnaflow exhaust, 5zigen wheels, twm short shifter, and coilovers.
The boxer sound is awesome with the exhaust.
