How would illegal street racing be done safer?

i say the safest way to do it is not to do it at all. If you want to race someone make sure ur in an empted deserted place where no one other than the racers and spectators can be hurt. No innocent bystanders whatsoever. Spectators are included because by participating in this event by watching they are supporting such illicit behavior.

The only other alternative I could see besides going to the track, would be a professionally organized event at someplace like an old airstrip, in areas where a track might not be readily available. However, I suspect that street racers would still find a lame excuse not to participate even then.
