Jae the event you saw me at last year was 250+ miles away from where I live. Thats 500 miles round trip, I'd rather drive half the day and have fun the legal way.

 

But you also have to think of the mind set of those that want to go out and race....they dont care about the outcome they just wanna race...so the quickest and fastest way...is to go the street racing route...besides...how many people you see holding autoX events out in a parking lot

 

Well that's you, and that's an autocross. You can't just have a drag event in a mall parking lot. More and more tracks are closing their doors to street legal drag events, or are being bought out.

 

I find drag racing stupid, but thats just my opinion. You can have a lot more fun autoxing than drag racing. Isn't the whole point of racing driving your car to the extreme? So if you can't drag race it then autox it.

 

Drag racing is fun, you should try it sometime. It's still driving your car to the extreme, trying to get better at driving. Going head to head with another person next to you is fun. Autox is also fun, but in a different way. Some people want to drag race, and that's it. You might think it's stupid, but millions of people love it.

 

I've drag race and I found it boring and cringed at the assault my clutch took. Besides a stock 4 door Accord really isn't a drag racing vehicle. h: To me drag racing seems more dangerous, and since we are using everyday street cars it also seems more expensive should something go wrong.

 

Fun is an objective concept.

I've dragged race and got a rush out of it....im now gonna autoX and see what i get out of it...regardless....like Brett said...more and more places are being bought out and now people are looking for alternative methods to that rush
