Autox puts possibly even more stress on a car. I've seen a lot of people end up with spun bearings because of the G forces causing the oil to go away from the pickup. It's a much longer run at constant high rpm...clutch still takes a beating on the start and shifting. Racing period, any kind of it, is going to put stress on a car.
