Help! Disturbing engine noises

Only happens during acceleration when driving
Doesnt happen when idled or in neutral with rev testing
Comes from engine bay
Loud noise sounds like rumbling, almost reminds you of a Harley but not as loud
RPM seem a little high for the acceleration ratio (more then usual)
Idle still works fine
No putting or backfires
Doesnt seem to have as much power as before but im not pushing it cause the noise worries me.
Acceleration sucks to be honest(more so then usual for a d16z6)
sounds like you have a leak in your exhaust manifold....probably a gasket is my guess. I would say its probably fairly minor because it is only happening when under load.
YOu may also have a clutch going out if you are getting high RPM and low output of power so it may be a combo

can you put the car up on jacks and put it in gear and let it run like that?
then you might be able to locate the sound better, with your head under the hood... ear really close to moving belts... I'm not responsible if you hurt yourself doing this. But uhh good luck!
