I remember when my cat fell off.

It actually sounded, mostly, normal when at idle. :chuckles:
Not untill you touched the gas did you then notice the, lets say VERY loud noise.

YOu may also have a clutch going out if you are getting high RPM and low output of power so it may be a combo
Well im not getting really high rpm its just the noise is keeping me from it. I just went for a drive. the rpm seems fine, just the noise gets louder as i accelerate. the rpm and power is the same as before. I was just being catious and not running it like i usually do. So it still accelerates fine there is no backfiring, no lags, it shifts and picks up just fine, there is no ticking or thumping noises. No bad smells but when i did accelerate like normal, i did smell a bit of exhaust through the vents. And then there was the loud rumbling noise. When the car is on and just idles, i checked under the hood. I can hear a sssssssssssssss sound. almost like the sound that would be made when you deflate a tire.

Does this help?

Donut gasket is simple.

Located where the exhaust header meets the exhaust tubing. As long as the bolts aren't welded on with rust it should take about 10 minutes.

Best way to tell is put the car up on stands and run your hand along the under side of the exhaust path and check for any air leaks while it is running. Take every precaution while doing this and have another person there to help just in case...also to press the gas to add pressure.

Another way is to let it idle and have someone lightly cover the tail pipe while someone revs the engine a little, this should create enough force to create a similiar environment to being under load and the leak should be evident at that point.
