Default Help! Disturbing engine noises

Engine: D16Z6

Well long story short..... my brother kidnappned my car the other day cause his was in the shop.(which im completely pissed about cause he didnt ask) well when he got home.... im now having odd engine noises that weren't there before.

What is happening:

When i accelerate i get a loud deep rumble sound that kinda does hundreds of tiny putt sounds. sounds like a really big dog growling. It still accelerates but it also seems that the RPM is going a bit higher then what it seemed it did and that rumble/growl sound seems to get louder the higher the speeds but it still runs strong and accelerates... its just that noise is annoying as hell

Anyone know what im talking about or is able to help me? I want to get this fixed.....

Well i did check. When in neutral, if i rev the engine a bit, you cant even tell the noise is there.
