secondly, thats my point. you havent been through it, so i dont think that you can say on any level whether it's a good or bad idea.

The numbers that I am talking about are out there. Do a search. You and Qtiger are smart guys, you can find em.

You on the other hand have made totally unfounded claims in this one, that there is a mysterious majority of recipients of social programs that are in fact abusing said programs.
That's rhetorical nonsense and goes contrary to the assumption and purpose of the programs, which is to actually help people that need help. The burden of proof is on the person claiming there is some sort of dysfunction in the system.
You can keep on claiming that people are abusing the system, but until I see some actual evidence that is more detailed than your totall unobjective non-numerical observations of some nameless slum, I will continue to believe that people are in fact benefitting and not cheating.

Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.

But hey I've already said that like four times.
Here let's do it one more time for good measure.
You say that there is widespread abuse of social programs. I don't believe you.

We aren't saying that the number isn't high...we're saying the number of people benefiting from it is much higher than those who are abusing it.
