im an engineering major (either welding or mechanical) because thats what im good at and thats what im into. the clincher was the great job market and $$$ :naughty:
i always wanted to be an inventor when i was a little kid, so i figure this is about as close as it gets.
oh ya and i might be minoring in history too since i only need like 2 more classes for that.

Here's the short version.
It took me a while to find the right ratio of profitability and passion, but my choice to pursue a career in Journalism is one that I've made out of love for the power of the written word, and it's ability to foment positive change.

Started off in Chemical Engineering but dropped that after I ended up dropping out of the Materials course and getting a D in Organic Chem. Took up Computer Engineering and thats what I just got my degree in.
Started off not really knowing what I wanted to do. I was a "psychology" major first but I gave up on that after taking the intro course. Switched to political science but I felt like I already pay too much attention to politics so I don't want to actually do it as a major and/or occupation. So now I'm an English major because I use a bunch of big words and I'm good at writing papers in very short amounts of time.
As far as career plans, this really has no bearing on what I want to do as a career. Just from applying for internships I feel like corporate America is a load of bullshit and doesn't challenge my linguistic abilities, so I'm going to milk the system and that's about it. I'd rather be working on cars or playing tennis or something, but that's not the route to the big bucks.
