college people......chime in.
i applied under political science cuz i was taking a polisci class at a JC and thought it was really interested. i also excelled in govt/history classes in high school.
once accepted, i thought i might give computer engineering/comp science a try. i had taken ap calc/phys/chem/etc.. in high school and had the sat2's up there so i switched to comp engineering. took 2yrs worth of courses, finished all the math/chem/physics requirements, as well as lower div. comp engineering courses. then, reality struck and it sucked. i def. did not want to be an engineer, nor take another 2yrs worth of engr. courses
i went back to political science and really enjoyed it. i could goto class, have fun, take notes, ace exams, and be on my merry way. i zoomed through the major which opened up another area for me.
i added sociology as another major and took those courses. the mix b/w the two (polsci & soc) was great. needless to say, i finished the two majors in 2yrs.
graduated on time (4yrs) even though i was delayed because of my prior major path. im happy with my decision, i have contemplated going to law school (took a practice lsat) and also flirted w/the possibility of getting an mba.
money was never an issue for me :dunno: .. 1yr later (after graduating) i consider myself to be on a pretty good path to success.

h: ... so i switched to sociology cuz it was easy and there were lot of hotties :exnbp: ... but then i was taking so many art classes on the side (i was going to minor in art) that if i graduated with art, i wouldve finished school earlier... so i switched to art... plus i love to draw on paper and computer... i wanted to start my own design company.... but then after working in the real world and meeting allllll kinds of people.... thats not where the money is and i didnt want to do that as my "career"... it was still more of a side job/hobby for me... i now realized that i shouldve just stuck with econ/finance in the beginning... i wouldve finished school even earlier and i would be making more money now.... but its all good. ive met great friends during the time at school and i had fun in my classes. i still want to and will go into my own business soon... just gotta save up some money so i can have some capital to work with and then..... shiiiieeeeetttt.... its f*cking on!!!!!!

Environmental Studies, with an emphasis in Policy and Law.
Personal passion to do something right in the world. Also, eventually, there will be money in it... but only after the environment gets so messed up that we finally realize what we've done :happysad:

I took a handful of classes:
Photography, welding, computers, general art
Never got any degrees but i took them because they all interested me. I wish I had stuck in the art and photography area because although the others pay better I get much more satisfaction out of photography and art than money ever can.

Mechanical engineering.
I've always been interested in how things worked. Ever since I was little, I've taken things apart/put them back together, worked on bikes, and then working on cars fueled the fire. I thought it would be cool to design stuff like that.

Psychology...have 1 more semester left! woohoo
wen i was younger, i wanted to be a pediatrician..but was afraid of blood, hated biology, and hate anatomy...so that was out of the question
The logical choice was to either go into child psy, social work, or school psy...well now i am almost done w/my BA in psy....and I dont know if i wanna go to grad school for psy or not anymore...I wanna help kids...especially little girls being sold into prostitution..but i dont see how going to grad school would help me...so i've decided to make things a little more flexible by finishing earlie and working...take some time off to think over everything...even if the time off is just a few months...
My main goal is to help children and have enough $ to survive

i'm a law major. I was a business Econ major but still wanted to go to law school. Law school is something i wanted to do as a kid, i'm not sure if i'll be cut out for it, but i'm gonna try my hardest and see how it goes. The money also has a factor in the area i want to practice. Corporate law is a big money maker if your damn good at it. Some firms start off at 125k a year. So that's a big incentive to work my ass off.
