for the older people :exnbp: why was your major what it was?
i was just wondering why you guys chose those specific majors. is it the money potential in the future? a personal passion? ...:dunno:

will you are such a fob
I am majoring in Business Administration, with a minor in psychology. I chose Business because I wanna make money when I graduate and I'm too lazy and not math inclined to go for an engineering degree. I chose a psychology minor because its always interested me.
I might go for my MBA, because at Oregon State, its just one additional year after my bachelor's degree...its a very intensive program, but having an MBA might open up even a few more doors.
Im taking mechanical enginerding.
I switched from architecture to engineering mainly because:
-Architecture was too easy. I'd rather get a degree in a hard science type of major, because I perform at ~98 percentile on math/science standardized tests. I guess I liked to be challenged at something that I'm good at.
-the job market for engineers is waaay better than that of architects.

i started off with econ cuz i wanted to do business.... then it was too boring... so i switched to computer science cuz they were making bank back then.... too hard and bunch of f*cking geeks
h: ... so i switched to sociology cuz it was easy and there were lot of hotties :exnbp: ... but then i was taking so many art classes on the side (i was going to minor in art) that if i graduated with art, i wouldve finished school earlier... so i switched to art... plus i love to draw on paper and computer... i wanted to start my own design company.... but then after working in the real world and meeting allllll kinds of people.... thats not where the money is and i didnt want to do that as my "career"... it was still more of a side job/hobby for me... i now realized that i shouldve just stuck with econ/finance in the beginning... i wouldve finished school even earlier and i would be making more money now.... but its all good. ive met great friends during the time at school and i had fun in my classes. i still want to and will go into my own business soon... just gotta save up some money so i can have some capital to work with and then..... shiiiieeeeetttt.... its f*cking on!!!!!!

h: i type the way i talk sometimes. at least its comprehensible :exnbp:im a human development major because...well kinda embaressed, but it just kinda fell into my lap because i didnt know what else to pick.
h: but my 2nd quarter into it, im learning a good amount of diverse things.i knew i didnt want to sit in front of a computer, or crunch numbers doing some sort of math....i knew that i wanted to help people or make some sort of positive change in society or at least within families or individuals. its just kinda hard to grow up around a messed up environment and see the disadvantages that people have....and to just let it be without taking some sort of intervention....and plus doing this stuff is where all the money is...
