No. You're a way different kind of enthusiast than I am. I'm not really in favor of putting myself and other people in that kind of danger. Even if you "win", there's nobody to witness and believe you when you brag about it. I'm not trying to get myself locked up, so I build cars for the track where they issue little white pieces of paper that have your times on it. You actually have something that measures your driving skill, unlike on the street. Cars that win impress me.

IMO a Hyundai that is built to run 10's is a thousand times more impressive than some guy who buys a stock Viper to run 13's and doesn't know how to work on it. I couldn't care less about being seen in a $80k Chrysler product that gets whipped up on by 4-bangers at the drag strip. Especially if the ones that do it are only worth $4k, that's embarrassing. I grew up with Cobras, Panteras and GT-40's, so by no means am I a stranger to expensive cars. To me, building performance is a lot more interesting than buying it. But like I said, that's just me.

That's why I mentioned I'd like to have Honda's parts counter software... I'm a tweaker. And regardless of whether or not 1 person thinks that's a bad idea, it's not. I'm still waiting for that elusive post from somebody saying "I've got it!". That software gets updated 4x a year, so someone's got to work at a dealership and have an old CD. I didn't start this thread to have my car bashed, or to "down" anyone else's. What's the first two sentences of my FIRST post?

PS: Here in VA, if you're caught racing on public streets or highways, they impound your car and you don't get it back.

Having never even sat in most of the cars mentioned in this thread...I don't really have anything to say about that...

BUT, I just wanted to give Jafro a  for having a such positive attitude. It's obvious that he likes cars in general, and isn't some kind of pigheaded purist. I read every post in the thread, and the whole way, you guys treat him like he's bashed everything that isn't his. Notice the parts where he expresses appreciation for other cars that he does not own, and then explains why he has the car(s) that he does - which does not include saying that they are better than everything. Nice show of superiority guys.

P.S. I have a hell of time reading the diagrams at Majestic Honda's site also.

I'm with Jafro. see attatchment

:editk, so for some reason I can't attatch them... but i have a .mpg of a 12 sec caravan toasting an ss camaro, and of a neon handing it to a viper.

IMO, an 11 second Geo is far more impressive than a viper, modena, heck even a bugatti or maclaren. Anyone can buy a car. It takes creativity and enginuity to build something fast, original, and unconventional.

dsm needs just to be done correctly by the ppl that have it in their blood. i have worked on a plymouth laser and that thing BLOWZ chunks but then i have worked on an eclipse of the same year before that worked wonderfully and was def fast.
supra's are obviously nice but some ppl do not like them for obvious reasons they are large cars and it seems a lot of ppl have them.
everone just needs to just take care of their cars and keep them maintained so then there will be good cars for a long time

mitsubishi's only real car was the evos

If the dipshit can only run a 13 in his Viper he obviously doesn't have a pair of seeds and can't learn to drive.

Also there is a private road here called the Skyway that everyone races on, its really really really wide and there is no one on it because its private and late at night and no cops...........also when you have vehicles that can get to those speeds quickly races don't last that long anyways. For the most part yes, take it to the track, but playing on the freeway is fun too because from a roll is the only way i get traction with no drag radials.........

Basically that's what's going on, when you OWN a good Honda like NSX's S2000's or even Preludes your trips to the dealer are almost impossible since (if you take care of it) you own a solid car and of course you're not gonna really go to get stuff all the time, have you ever drive a NSX?? how can you compare a NSX with a EVO? both are awesome cars with completelly different specs, is no way that NSX equals a Evo i'm sorry but it's true, the same way that a NSX is not a Enzo, is just a commun sence man.
Good luck with your Mitsu dealers, i'm a prelude owner and i preffer to upgrade my engine to have a 4 door car that is a Mitsubishi even if it's a Evo, Don't get me wrong i know they are awesome cars, but i don't waste my time going to Mitsu owners sites just to say, hey, Honda Rocks or Hey My prelude is a 1995 and look newer than any mitsu or how wonderful and solid-germanic-niponic my car is.
