LOL alright..........first off the performance numbers and track times for the supras speak for themselves and when compared to those of the DSM community the results are heavily in favor of the supra. Not to mention a lot of the supra guys who run great times also run their cars on the street with the AC blasting and stereo pumpin most of the really fast DSMs are lightened quite a bit and dont' have any of the creature of comforts that I would require on any car that I wanted to drive on the street. The DSM is a decent car and is the best bang for the buck out there, but come on.......be realistic, saying the DSM > supra is just stupid. They all have so many problems, it was a never ending procession of problems with mine, it was fun when it was running but something broke on it like every other week. It was a good car when I was young and didn't have a lot of money to throw at my car but then I got smart and turned 18 and got a real car. Also the road you live on isn't private, its owned by the trailor park.

 

Nope. Sorry tough guy. All a Viper does well in the 1/4 mile is look good. They run 12.8-13.1 factory-fresh and will get whipped up on by well-tuned 4-bangers, built-up classics and beaters that cost 1/20th as much. Just like most "supercars". Westcoaststyle's Civic would dust a Viper, as long as he makes it stick.

The first one has a Viper struggling to beat a 97 GSX. That GSX is mostly stock and didn't even launch hard because it still had the factory clutch. The viper runs a 12.8 vs the GSX's 13.1.

The second one has a fugly-ass Mirage 4-door with a GS-T drivetrain bolted in (literally, it does bolt right in). $2000 beater. Listen to the astonishment of the rednecks down front that were busting on it during the burnout. This thing is also a Viper killer.

Then there's a pair of 10-11 second GSX's running that have full interiors and 100% street legal. Brent's car is daily driven. Damn, this is one beautiful race.

Best bang for the buck? Ya damn right. None of these people care if you're not impressed by it. Neither would I. I'd hope and pray I got lucky enough to get to line up next to you and beat your exotic with my "beater" in front of a crowd.

I don't believe you've ever been to a real track in your life to race. Got any timeslips from any of your cars? I'd like to see what that Supra of yours really runs if you think a Viper's fast in the 1/4 mile.

 

If you think vipers only run high 12s to low 13s in the 1/4 stock you are a moron. No, you probably never would race me on the street because I don't street race the supra very much unless I see something fun like a viper or what not cruising around as well. Funny how every DSM owner I see when I'm out says they'd trade their car in a second for mine. Enjoy being old busted and slow, even if you -COULD- make your car fast you don't even have a job so you can't even support your car. No timeslip? OK. U don't know what a Viper or a Supra do at the track because you don't spend any time there. You're a spoiled punk-ass kid that thinks street racing is fashionable and don't even deserve the car(s) that have been handed to you. A viper isn't a 1/4 mile car, and they do VERY poorly in stock fashion because they're not built to be a 1/4 mile car.

I already cleared up the employment thing. Open your ears, jackass. I'm self-employed. I'm a contractor. You have no idea who you're talking to. I'm lucky enough to have the time and money to restore my GSX from the bottom-up, and I get to do it myself. I can work on it every day if I want to. Unlike you, I can still afford to buy the Supra your daddy bought you, but I choose not to because I don't need it to win at a drag strip. That would be a waste of money to me.

You had a bad experience with a DSM because you were a kid, and a DSM is not a kids car. I bet you never even once got dirty as a result of your own carelessness to fix that car that daddy bought you, yourself. I bet you were bailed out of it by someone else every time. Probably someone like me that knows what they're doing and charges you accordingly.

That's the reason guys like you lose to guys like me at the track. You think that buying a Supra is going to win races for you. I look for cocky bastards like you. Bust a timeslip and show your driving skills, or pussy out and run away claiming that this is wasting your time, because it looks to me like you've just been wasting everyone else's.

The reason DSMers would trade for a Supra is because of the book value of that car. I swear, you have no sense of humor. If someone was stupid enough to trade me for one, I'd sell it and buy 6 GSX's and another civic hatch. I'd name them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. The reason you knock someone with a "lesser" car is solely monetary, and that's so shallow and weak. It's the typical Supra owner attitude that I described earlier, complete with "trailer park" and "junkyard" jabs. It really shows your knowledge about cars. Someday, someone in a junkyard-built Ford Escort or Dodge Colt is going to blow your doors off in front of your girl while you're talking shit and make you feel pretty stupid. I only wish it could be me.

PS: A Type IV Supra has a striking resemblance to a 93-97 Ford Probe GT. Saw two of them sitting side by side today and got a good laugh. The probe's worth $2500, too. Learn to drive, bitch, and bring it on.

 

Yes they do. The fastest street supra (on slicks) barely broke the 8s @ 161mph. The fastest street DSM (also on slicks) is runnin 8.7 @ 168.
