I'm not bashing a Supra, BTW. They have way more potential on a Dyno than a DSM, mainly due to their displacement. There are DSMs that can dyno 900hp, too, but the Supra is just a little more common to be found doing that sort of thing. I'm not bashing your car xsentrixsupra, but you may continue bashing mine.

I saw this Supra down Richmond today while I was on my way down VA. It was pretty tight looking and I knew it got the power to back up all that exotic custom kits. She and my Honda decide to switch position on I95 South from time to time to show off our accelaration power. Fortunately, the driver was going down the beach also so I had a chance to talk with him and his cousin. They "pop" the hood as if we're in Fast and Furious and I was like "WOW." Their car is tricked out. I haven't done anything to my engine or body. My only upgrade is the 18 x 8 rims and Toyo tires and badass wax job.

18"s on your honda? You sound like the "Fast and Furious" bitch to me, not the supra.

I am putting the stock 16 alloy back on, it will look stupid considering I have been living large for the last year.

What kind of project you're on. If you don't mind, can I be your Apprentice. Just joking man. I just need to get hooked up with knowledge niggas to locate a good reliable shop to do some custom work for my 02 Accord EX (best Accord ever made).

Jafro, it's great that you like your DSM. So whatever. One person wrote something bad about it, so what? Hell, I really don't feel like reading that treatise of yours but from my skimming it sure does seem defensive.

As for your complaint about Honda's parts system, did you even click the links I gave? They are exactly what you're talking about, accessible to anyone with an internet connection.

DSM owners should never bash Toyota on "see(ing) how long it goes before something breaks." Toyotas will still be racking up the miles when nearly every DSM ever made is rotting in a junkyard. Toyota builds the essential brick shit house of an engine like no other Japanese company does, maybe most any car maker period. I've seen MANY MKIV Supras come in with over 200,000 miles on them and they start up STRONG and run like new all the time. The 2JZ is one of the best engines ever made if you ask me. Not that the 4G63s are horrible engines, but certainly they can't touch the reliability of a Toyota Supra. They are truly a daily drivable super-car that will take the beating.

I agree whole heartedly. It's the 3rd gen Supras where Toyota learend all of their most valuable lessons. I'm not stranger to Toyota quality, and I never bashed that car. I'm having incredible, fantastic luck with my DSM compared to some of the horror stories that are floating around, so I don't really relate with those stories. I think the car owners that buy certain cars have most to do with that, too. Someone that buys a Supra isn't going to have a problem changing their oil. It's too expensive of a car to neglect, so they usually get treated very well.

I don't down any car anymore. I bought a Honda (which I hated at the time) solely based on it's rumors of reliability. While mine wasn't one of those reliable cars, I made changes. I'm having a blast with it just like with my DSM. Sure, it has its limitations, but everything has some kind of potential. Both of my cars serve me very well. My previous cars did also.

Mr Fatbooty, you don't like reading anything from me because I'm a Republican. 'Nuff said on that. And I have checked out those links on a previous-to-your-post basis, and didn't find the part I was looking for in it. The interface on those websites is only convenient to someone that doesn't have the parts software already. :| It's crap compared to what Honda parts counters use. I'm not saying that it's worthless by any means, just that it doesn't offer what should freely be in the hands of Honda enthusiasts. Releasing the Honda parts counter software into public domains would help the car parts sales and prevent people from buying 3rd party shit. Most DSMers use genuine Mitsubishi parts (which aren't crap, by the way) instead of AutoZone or Advance, etc... they can buy the OEM parts for what aftermarket ones go for, solely because they can just get the #'s for themselves. What Honda tweaker wouldn't appreciate that? You shouldn't have had to know the parts counter guys, it's just interesting that I have met the ones that have hooked me up for years. The guys that hooked me up because I already had the part #'s and they cater to that shit.

I honestly haven't been able to find that kind of customer support on the parts side from Honda, and believe me, I've been looking (for years)... as cheap of a bastard as I am...

Oh yeah, you hit the nail on the head with that one! I'm just a mean old Republican hater and no matter what anyone with right wing political views says on any topic, they're always wrong because they're a Republican! In fact, Republicans don't even deserve to post on this board, because I say so! I hereby banish you all to some other board where you can talk to your Republican buddies and not have to get your feelings hurt by us sarcastic Democrats!

Give me a freakin break.

I don't like your post because you're making grandiose complaints about nothing of consequence.

If I need a part, I can find it just fine through Majestic Honda's or any number of other websites. I don't need to get on the horn to a parts counter or anything. What more does there need to be?

As I already pointed out, what you seem to think is vital for Honda to do, really isn't. They have no reason to do what you want. Do you really think Honda is going to sell more cars because of a little-known parts CD that people who actually order their own parts are able to get their hands on? How many people do you think would really be swayed to buy a Honda or Acura just because of this mythical CD? How many people would even use such a CD?

Sure, it might be nice to have. But really, the benefit (if any) of Honda doing so is so miniscule that they really have no incentive to.

Aside from that, I've never had a problem finding the OEM parts I need, so apparently their customer service ain't so bad as you seem to think it is.

Indeed, this mostly seems to me like making a whole lot of something over nothing in particular.
