for someone trying to lose bodyfat %, not necessarliy weight and trying increase toneness/definition what do you recommend for diet/meals?

most of what i eat consists of chicken and vegetables and not too much carbs...i just dont crave rice like i used to. should i be eating more carbs or taking a protein shake? i want to know the "best" thing for me to eat for the maximum results

Lean meats, including chicken and turkey. Lean ground beef isn't too bad either.
Vegetables, the darker the green the better.
Complex carbs, including cooked pasta and rice, low on "sauces" such as teriyaki sauce or a parmegan sauce (high on sodium/fat)

hmm...moderate carbs (dont eliminate them like atkins) and high protein. carbs will help fuel your workouts. for the protein, at least 1 gram per pound of your bodyweight. i would highly recommend a whey protein supplement.

i love this stuff...it's my favorite after trying a variety of brands:

EAS MyoPro Whey
http://www.affordablesupplements.com/simply_protein.asp

only needs 4oz of water, so you dont feel all bloated
dissolves well and isnt thick or frothy
actually tastes good
120 calories & 5g of carbs

some will point out it's "only 20g" per serving...but studies have shown that the body can't process huge amounts of protein at once, so some goes to waste.
