Sure, it is true that no one can prove that there is no God, or that God doesn't have a plan for everything, etc. HOWEVER, it is just as difficult for you to prove that there IS a God. Therefore, this entire debate is completely fvcking pointless! None of you are going to convince each other of jack shite. All you have is your own beliefs, which count for squat to anyone but yourself. Now, I hate to be anti-intellectual debate (which this really isn't), but with this sort of subject matter, you're really better off just discussing it with people who agree with you, or at least agree with you for the most part. You're all just blowing hot air at each other...and while it is amusing to read, you're never going to get anywhere other that frustrated/offended/etc. from this sort of thing.

Now quoting falsley would be taking the same quotes and altering lines to meet your argument and make your case stronger. If this happened then it would weaken the case once it was exposed....knowing RBs argument tactics and love of the argument I am sure he wouldn't leave this to chance.

Considering that Tirod hasn't rebutted with the proper quotes or evidence refuting RBs quotes I would venture a guess at saying RB was correct in his quotes and has proven his point quite well.

The only thing I object to is Tirod's slippery-slop method of argument..

Nothing personal but it seems to me that people who can't refute something that was said tend to fall back on that cliche answer...its like plausible deniability or something.

I think Will pretty much summed it all up in a previous post he made.

There are ppl on the moon???? That sux if ur religion believes that and then we end up finding out its completely untrue. ppl take bibles and other holy documents too seriously. I look at them as a collection of stories written by a group of ppl way back when. As stories are passed on things become more then they were (the game telephone for example) and thats how people in the bible did great unimaginable things. I view religion as a way to explain what we can't. This worked very well in the old days when we knew next to nothing about our existance, but now I think religion is slowly fading away. Its being separated from our lives and we have to choose to follow it and attempt to learn the word of God or whoever. It used to be that u were religious, the church told u what to do, and if u didn't like it than it would suck to be you. I think as time goes on religions will slowly diminish and become stories.

this is the attitude that is ticking people off. There are a lot of us who are respectfully listening to your opinion and asking questions. You basically disregard other people's opinions and act as though your beliefs are the only option.

By asking questions, we were trying to learn, with respect. You, on the other hand, have no respect for other people's beliefs...

Skyler I know that your trying to help people understand what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe, but it can't be forced upon anyone. Now I know you're not trying to force what you believe or what I believe upon HAN, but as you and I both know it takes an open heart and contrite spirit to believe in Gods words. Through diligent study of the words of God followed with prayer, people can and will receive answers to what iS and ISN't Gods word.
