Loved ones, status, money, and happiness: Losing anyone of these would be scary.

Dying alone in a strange place is scary.

yeah i just got one today. was going around downtown and its just crazy. i'm usually very care and i was careful today too.
the deal is its a one way street with five lanes (parking, left, middle, right, parking) and this car decides to parallel park on the left and i was on a tight schedule so i check then swerve out and around. but there was a taxi in front of me that decided to also swerve around, but i knew this was going to happen dangerously because it was a taxi and all, so i swerved out two lanes to the right to avoid hitting him but i had to do this in second gear and i just punched it because another taxi van was coming from behind moderatly fast. but its all good because i reacted and checked on everything right?, no wrong! because when i came back into the middle lane from the right lane at 60-70 km/h another large vantype taxi decided to just stop in front and i was like oh sh!t and i slammed on the brakes and skidded / squealed for at least 5 meters. and i soooo thought i was going to tap the bumped in and get punched by the air bag. but.... i guess due to my recent brake change/my reaction time, i actually stopped but i bet there was only 2 inches between our bumpers. oh man was that scary....

Happened today.

I was driving home from my uncles place and got off the exit ramp. The light I was stopped ar turned green and I start pulling out, out of the corner of my eye I see a car heading straight for me. He missed me by inches, what saved me was my reaction time because the moment I saw him my foot was on the brake. He was probably doing atleast 70 and would have killed me because he would have hit my driver's side door. I have an old car so no airbags... right now I am glad that I have a good reaction time and thanking whoever is up there looking over me.

seein the blue lights turn on behind you after tap-and-rolling through a 4 way stop at 1 in the morning, with weed on you, and the friend you are taking home stoned as hell next to you.

Which brush with death would you like to hear about. I've been down the tunnel a number of times and turned off the lightswitch.

But I think the worst was when my wife had a large tumor behind her stomach and ended up having her stomach removed along with the tumor. Then the Dr. came out and told us that she had found several cancerous growths in there as well. A spot on her liver and a spot on her diaphagm, and another on her lung. Fortunately she was able to remove them all and my wife has been cancer free for almost 3 years now.

Scariest feeling...

I was buying my car, and I was sitting waiting for my loan to be approved. My phone had rang earlier, so I checked my message and heard this from a good friend. "Aurora did you hear about Dave...I think you need to call me right away." I called him back...and already knew what happened. My friend Dave had commited suicide...all my friend Lee could say was "he is gone...he is gone." I started shaking and crying....I think it scared me the most that at any minute, any day I could lose in a instant someone I loved and cared about....

a few things are the scariest for me

(1) Death
(2) being overpowered by a male
(3) My daddy dying. we're very very close.
(4) anything happening to my car, it being an extention of my body and the love of my life.
(5) Finding out my boyfriend of 1 1/2 put a gun to his head

ldfrgirl I feel ya girl it sucks.

Almost dying...

Jumping in a boat with my wife and 2 friends to avoid dealing with police over some BS fight between some people while at a party on a lake with only one way out... the road the police had blocked off.

Long story short... a few hours later cruising back to the spot the party was at to catch a ride. The boat sank within 5 seconds. Me, my wife and 2 friends all in the middle of the lake in the dark with the life jackets trapped with the sunken motor boat.

A 45 minute swim to shore not thinking someone is going to make it... it just sucked.
