What do you think of Gay people?
I have many homosexual and lesbian friends. I am perfectly secure with my sexuality (as a bisexual woman) to be secure for them. I'd rather not watch two men kissing, some how some way it unappealing to me. I have simply asked them to not do it in front of me... as far as in public goes... I turn my head. its none of my business, and they have as much right to show their affection in public, as any heterosexual couple would. You can't be bias towards something you do.

you are prime example of exactly why so many straight people have a dislike for gay people.
i am not homosexual. I already stated that, i base people on personality, not by sex. If a women can fulfil my emotional needs, and treat me like a person- then why can't ii engage in that type of relationship? She makes me happy. If a man does it, then i would be with him. I look at life in happiness, i do what makes me happy.
THIS IS A SENERIO:
If I am holding hands with my boyfriend in the mall, which is public display of affection (PDA) and is perfectly legal in all 50 states, I have ABSOLUTLY no right to tell a Homosexual person that they can not share the exact same Public Display of Affection. That is wrong.
You can't take one person's rights away because you disagree with it, you have to live with it and accept it. That would be like saying, people who don't drive imports and doesn't like them can tell you not to drive your car- cause it offends them- you're driving habits and the speed you might drive at. Do you you care what people think or feel about your vehicle?
If i happen to become involved with a female, as it has happened, i really do try to respect other people's feelings towards homosexuality, and try not to be outwardly affectionate to my partner. I do understand it is rude, and some people don't want to see that.
You need to re-read what Wannaplay has said, she makes very good points in her posts. That only makes me respect her so much more, because she has the education, and she has the knowledge to not be bias and prejudice against homosexuality, but she has sympathy for both sides of this agruement.

Hate is a strong word. Hate breed violence.
There are contradictions in this thread.
And yet she says:
That defeats your whole right purpose. How can you ask someone not to do something. Are you God? Guess what if you kiss your bf in public and someone asked you not to do it you'd give them Hell. So the next time you see a homosexual couple kissing accept them for who they are and don't ask them not to do it in front of you because eventually they will come back and give you the same medicine. Always remember do unto others as done unto you.
The world will always have bigots. Also humans fall for peer pressure, if you friend bashes gays you do the same. Guess what peer pressure reigns high on the list of reasons people end up doing stupid things.
The bottom line is I still haven't found one sensible reason for hating gays. The crap about the bible and so on is exactly that crap. Its called blind faith and thats another reason we are so f*cked up. Gays are people like us, they have the same number of hands, fingers, toes, etc.
The song Brothers unaware by Live sums it up for me and I live by the words of that song, it doesn't matter what color your skin is, where you are from, what your sexuality is you are still human and thats all that matters.
So many people
I know only a few
Yes I may say that I love this man
And that man
But what keeps me from loving you?
Date of birth, geography
The color of my skin, ideology
You got ten fingers, two legs, on nose
Like me
Just like me
And it's as simple as that
You see
And if I don't know who to Love
I love them all
And if I don't know who to trust
I trust them all
And if I don't know who to kill
I may kill myself instead
From the mouth of a baby
Will come the world saving words
That will save us all
And from the lungs of a child
Will come the everlasting breath of God
Increasing peace and honesty
And not carrying on Despite of me
Don't you know
This ain't about no race, no creed
No race, no creed
And it's as simple as that
You see
And if I don't know who to love
I love them all
And if I don't know who to trust
I trust them all
And if I don't know who to kill
No suicide
I'm already dead

I don't just go up to a homosexual couple and say "Hey stop", i'm refering to people I know. If i am in public and i see a homosexual couple i do nothing. Its none of my business. People have asked me not to kiss a boyfriend in public, they say its rude and they don't want to see that kind of display. I am a very accomodating person, I say "I'm sorry" and I stop. I have respect for other people's feelings, and i try not to offend people.

I also think people fear their own sexuality, because homosexuals are so "not cool" in the publics eye, they want to fit in, jump on the bandwagon and gay bash. This works both ways. People think being gay is cool and they just become it, knowing it does not make them happy.

Yes, I agree with you. I do not discriminate against people. I do not loosely throw the word "n!gger" and "fag" out. I know the definitions and i apply them correctly. I am not a hateful person in the least. I am very accepting of every person, homosexual, straight, 5 fingers, 3 fingers, black, white, asain, green, purple, two heads, one head, no arms, 2 arms. Doesn't matter i see people for who they are, not what they are or what they look like.

If rape was ok, and it was just another thing, as in there were millions of rapists, just like gays (y ou have to think abstractly here) and they spread the message that it was ok, and they were born wanting to rape, they couldn't help it... does that make it ok? Same with murders. Do you(generalized) think that murders are ok? They have a mental disease, but would you still hate a murderer if he killed one of your friends or family. Probably, even though he was most liekly born(or was altered) with an altered brain chemisty that made him think it was ok?

your argument sucks dick! (no pun attended)
i dont mind it as long as they dont put the moves on me, i cant say i hate them cause i have a family member that is gay, and he is the one that helps out the family the most when in trouble. So i look at it that way, if i hate gay people i would hate that member of my family.
Wow long!
I just wanna say its not right to hate anyone because of a stereotype. Not all gays are flaming. I have some gay friends most you would NEVER be able to tell by looking at them, or talking to them. Some gay guys are in your face but their are some people like that not just gays. One of my friends is out but he's not in your face about it. And can say from talking to them its NOT a Choice, why would someone want to always be hated on because of something they have NO control over.
