but it does sound like a miata would fit you needs better. if you can afford a rx8, then you can afford a miata, mods for the miata, plasma screen for the house, a new computer, and a new wardrobe:chuckles:

SA = 79-80
FB = 81-85

Second gen
FC = 86-92

Third gen
FD = 93-95 ( Japan 92-01?)

Of course, I had to pick the FC. I just picked up my "new" one for $900.

Anything an FD can do, an FC can too. I'd take any RX-7 over a Miata any day of the week. Nothing against the Miata, I just happen to like the RX-7 better.

 

Rotary might be able to be more reliable than a piston engine but what are the chances you are going to be able to find an RX7 that was babies. You never know how a used car was treated.

 

i like the FD'S so i will go with that but try and get a levin :naughty: them's are good drifter cars h:

 

i would say for your purposes you should either get an FC or a miata, basically because of price. just keep an eye out for a tip top one and whichever one you find first, buy.
