he runs circles around 95% of the traffic on any given day.

oh this is on blown shocks. no changes to the suspension yet.

he is that good. but the car is that capable
yeah we have two guys in stock miatas (e stock miatas too not the more powerful c stock ones) with r compounds run at least 3 seconds faster than everything else out there it's kinda sad, but makes me want a miata more

Out of those choices I would say Miatah:

It hurts me to say that but the FD and FC are horrible choices if all your worried about is AutoX.

WRX is mainly a price concern but also in the handling department for AutoX they are not exactly the prime choice either.

Perfect condition TII's do exist, but they cost anywhere from $5k-$9k depending on how crazy the current owner is.

Mind you, the FC is the cheapest car on that list. For the price of an FD or WRX, you can build one insane FC.

The main reason to get the Miata is it's weight. After the Miata comes the FC, then the FD in that department. I have no idea how much the WRX weighs, but I'm thinking it is pretty porky.

The RX's are more unique and masculine then the Miata, too :chuckles:

A Miata with:

Koni Yellow
GC coilovers
FM sways
FM rear shock mounts
assorted braces

Will be sick y0.

Granted on a large road course with lots of straits the horsepower of a nicely set up RX-7 will own the crap out of a Miata. But on an autocross course the FD is a little tricky and I haven't driven an FC so I can't really comment. The FD is a great car for circuit racing but in the really tight spots I think the Miata has it.

the local miata chapter up here has that. the miata owners group is gone now, he may be remembering that, but they shut down a few years back.
