CF Hood Adjustment??
Ok so i got my fiberimages hood,Really nice,But it fits kinda goofy!
AT first it wouldnt close all the way, so i adjusted my hood latch, upwards! That helped it close tightly. Now the problem is a gap on the passenger side, and the hood is sitting slightly higher then the fenders in some places on both sides. The gap on the passenger side was the size of your pinky fingernail,Sideways, but since i adjusted the latch that seems to be slightly smaller. Its still there tho! but on the drivers side the gap is almost perfect. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know some of you guys have had to deal with this. thanks in advance

My CF hood is the same way. I tried some adjustments, but couldn't get it perfect. I was happy because it looked a million times better than my old hood with the bowling ball size dent it the hood.
Anyone have hints on how Flappy and I can get these hoods to fit better?

This is taken from the Service Manual:
Hood Alignment:
-The hinges can be adjusted right and left as well as fore and aft by using the elongated holes.
-Turn the edge cushions as necessary, to make the hood fit flush with the body at front and side edges.
-Adjust the hood latch to obtain the proper height at the forward edge.
Hope this helps you.

That's a common CF hood fitment issue, more so with certain FI hoods. From everything I have gathered, the latch and hinges should definitely be adjusted first. I had actually taken out my latch and extended the holes on the mounting to make the latch go even higher. The only way to really fix the gapp issue is by getting hood pins.

Now I don't really know what's causing it, but I do know it might have something to do with the fitment. When it was on the car, the hood was sitting a little closer to the driver side fender (the gap was pretty big on the passenger side) and the passenger side of the hood sat a little higher.
I don't know if the hood's in contact of something that would shake horrendously or it's because of the fact that the hood is so light that it's supposed to shake or I just have a really bad running car. But it is kinda embarassing to be at a stoplight and see my carbon fiber hood shake it like a polaroid picture. You guys have any ideas how to remedy this (I'm guessing pins would be one idea, but I'm looking for other suggestions besides that).
Thanks.

You might want to try the rubber seal (that goes on the factory hood) and that might absorb some vibration as well.
