Default should i get a CF hood?

my hood got hail damage and the insurance is gonna fix it for me... they told me the hood is getting repainted after they fix the dings... my question is this.... should i get a CF hood?? and if i do, which one? i like the OEM one, but i've seen a couple of accords with the vented ones.... if possible, can someone photoshop my car with a CF hood?? pix can be found at www.cardomain.com/id/darksideaccord

btw, how do i get the insurance to get me the CF hood instead of fixing the dings?? i'm getting around $500 - $1000 to fix my hood and front bumper..thanx!

sure, why not, if your able to, why not save some weight? CF that is painted is much better than just unpainted CF. I dunno, unless you run around in a "bling bling" ride, it's better to paint it *shrug*...just my oppinion on the matter

haha, so now you are considering a CF hood? That's cool. I've heard of several good brands. I'd try to get it through a GroupBuy though to save some cash.

i just ordered one thru buddified civic, he has a post int he for sale section... It's VIS OEM grade A hood for 320...if you join..i think it's enought to lower it to 300..plus shipping to your area...lucky for me, he's close by and is going to deliver it to me himself....i said just go with the cf hood..you can always sell it or trade it later on if you don't like it anymore....

Actually, I say you don't get it repainted (since I couldn't see any of this so-called hail damage you speak of) and just use the money for the next big mod you told me about. That would be much better use of the cash IMO.
