88-91 crx hood.....same as 88-91 civic hood?
i have to get a new hood for my crx from a junk yard and i was wondering if the hood on the hatch/4door is the same hood that is on the crx? i tried looking to see if diff. CF hoods had different part numbers for the crx and civiv but some did and some didnt...thanx

my buddy had a hood on his crx the guy that he bought the car from said it was off a 88-91 civic/crx but the hood was like 3 inches to long, i gave him my stock hood(89 civic on his 89 crx) and it fit perfectly without a problem. dont know if that helped but just my .02

i think they might be different. i hate to be contridictional to anyone here (namely FourthGenHatch), but i have a hood on my '89 hatchback that's a little too long in the front. i mean by this that my hood is about 1/2" too long from the windshield to the headlight cutout, and when the front lip turns down (where the honda emblem is) it comes all the way down to that little "grill" piece that's between the headlights. it fits, but i'd rather have a hood that looks like it was supposed to go on there. anyway, the point of my comment was that someone told me last night that it was a crx hood. i'm not sure if it is, but if i were you, i'd try and find a hood on a crx and measure it versus what measurements your hood has. that should tell you for sure if they are interchangeable.

What about body panels....are the CRX and CIvic HB panels (example: right rear quarter panel) the same? Need one for my 90 Civic HB and need to expand my options to find one other than just looking at 88-91 Civics...
