A/C troubles
1993 Prelude V-tec.
I have a problem with my a/c. It blows cold, then blows hot, then cold again. It does it about every five minutes. I had it checked for leaks and none could be found. I put more freon in it to top it off just for the hell of it.
Compressor is not cutting off, switch is not bad, maybe expansion valve??? I was going to run a dye thru it but I was told not to.
What would seem to be my troubles?

my 93 does the same thing but nobody has been able to figure out what the problem is. Let me know if you find something that might help. I'll do the same if I figure out what it is. Why shouldn't you run dye through the system? That's what the dealer does. Just wondering.

Does the temp. gague go up at all when you turn on your A/C. If it does, you probably have a burnt out cooling fan motor. My A/C was doing the exact same thing, and just got fixed. When you turn on your A/C, make sure that the driver's side radiator fan switches on. If not, that's your problem.
