Is it part of the housing? Or should it come apart from it?

The thermostat is an entire unit. It's located on the back side of the block on the passenger side. You'll have to remove the airbox/intake to get to it.

I had to return a thermostat becuase it was wayyy too small. They had to special order mine from honda. it was like 40 bucks.
bullshit man. they put two fans there for a reason. when the engine reaches the preset temp the cooling fan comes on. the ac condensor fan does not come on. condensor fan only comes on when the ac is turned on.

Hey man all I know is what I've seen. One of my fan motors was burnt out therefore I only had the smaller fan spinning. My car was overheating because my thermostat was stuck closed. I repaced the thermostat and it solved my overheating issue. This guys overheating problem is EXACTY the same as the one I had.

Try your fan switch(like the others suggested). Your tstat is seperate from the housing, just pop it out...also its not the reason the cooling fan is not coming on. Make sure you bleed the cooling system once you put it back together or else it will overheat constantly. Cooling fan coming on with the condensor fan when the a/c is on is normal on honda's.

Just curious, how are you sure its the radiator cooling fan?

The car was all the way in the red so I got out and checked the fan and it wasn't on. So I turned the ac on and both came on!!

T-stat: got rid of the over heating!!

Fan switch(on the block): replaced it, because the other parts were dieing. Since the others failed I figured, what the hell.

Fan Temp sensor(on t-stat housing): they didn't have it in stock, I assuming this is the problem for the fan not turning on though.

Thanks everyone for all your help. Couldn't have got it fixed this quickly without you.
