The car does not need both of the fans to work in order to stay cool. Trust me. I JUST (2 weeks ago) had a problem very simliar to this. Both my thermostat and the larger radiator fan were shot. I replaced the thermostat without replacing the fan motor and the car stopped over heating. I had the radiator fan motor replaced a week later. I had to return a thermostat becuase it was wayyy too small. They had to special order mine from honda. it was like 40 bucks.
bullshit man. they put two fans there for a reason. when the engine reaches the preset temp the cooling fan comes on. the ac condensor fan does not come on. condensor fan only comes on when the ac is turned on.
