Ok which one of you scumbags voted yes on Prop 8
hmm. i know they have the same rights but same benefits also? i thought i heard them say something on the news about the benefits married couples have, gays dont have. maybe i heard wrong?
What a hearty argument!
Who are you to say why a person believes what they believe? That's not your right.
Oh, and they're > their
Oh, and they're > their

I was asking Rob personally.
Actually I take that back. "Partners" aren't allowed to pull the plug because by law they aren't immediate family.

i voted no because at the end of the day they aren't hurting anyone so who am i to tell them they can't be happy
:werd: i loved how it was all religious groups backing it
hooray for excluding people because they're different
This proposition is a thinly veiled as an attempt from the religious conservatives to impose their religious beliefs on what marriage is or isn't. It's sickening, and it's incredibly sad that these groups of people have nothing going for them in their personal lives that they have to impose their beliefs into the lives of others. If you think that is what's great about our country, then I pity you.
i'll be honest and say i voted yes. hate on me all you want. i'm have no problem with gay people, although i do have a problem with act of gayness. but i voted yes because i believe marriage should only be between a male and a female. that's just my personal belief though.
hooray for excluding people because they're different
in MA sopme gay couples have more rights then heterosexual couples. i guess they do not call them marriage, but civil unions. so two gays can now get benefits of the others insurance. in MA if a male and female live together for more then x years they are considered in a civil union, but they do not get to share the health benefits of one person.
so there are always 2 sides to this.

I voted no on 8
It's pure BS. The idea of Prop 8 is unconstitutional, so I thankfully don't expect it to take long. It's a bummer. Constitutional amendments should require a 67% vote IMO.
