hmm. i know they have the same rights but same benefits also? i thought i heard them say something on the news about the benefits married couples have, gays dont have. maybe i heard wrong?

i voted no because at the end of the day they aren't hurting anyone so who am i to tell them they can't be happy

in MA sopme gay couples have more rights then heterosexual couples. i guess they do not call them marriage, but civil unions. so two gays can now get benefits of the others insurance. in MA if a male and female live together for more then x years they are considered in a civil union, but they do not get to share the health benefits of one person.

so there are always 2 sides to this.

I voted no on 8

It's pure BS. The idea of Prop 8 is unconstitutional, so I thankfully don't expect it to take long. It's a bummer. Constitutional amendments should require a 67% vote IMO.
