That's an extremely narrow minded view.

Correct. Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I don't think that racism should be openly expressed. And for the record, I am not a republican, or a democrat. The better candidate gets my vote.

Not really, theres times to be conservative, and times to be liberal. I believe that the perfect president has an open mind to what the people want.

Don't get me wrong, I understand completely. In fact, I am actually really conservative when it comes to economics. Social issues are another matter.

The president DOES need to be open to both of the parties. Compromise has always been what makes this country work. My biggest compaint about Bush is that he helped make the government hyper-partison (I understand it is not just him). That is never good for a country. Disagreement is healthy, but the way it is now is unacceptable.

ugh...regardless, this is just like when the republicans attacked Al Gore for his "I invented the internet" comment. Some people still think that Al Gore thought he invented the internet. He fucking invented the legistlation that passed public internet access. A minor slip of words, a mix up of context, and the republicans start yelling and screaming like whiney bitches.

excuse my rant, but I think that this little nancy pants argument is far surpassed by the destruction and failures of capitol hill. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but John McCain is right when he said that this is not something the focus should be on. The focus should be on the failures of this administration and both houses. As much as I dissaprove of McCains voting record, he just won some points with me today.
