Don't get me wrong, I understand completely. In fact, I am actually really conservative when it comes to economics. Social issues are another matter.

The president DOES need to be open to both of the parties. Compromise has always been what makes this country work. My biggest compaint about Bush is that he helped make the government hyper-partison (I understand it is not just him). That is never good for a country. Disagreement is healthy, but the way it is now is unacceptable.
