The IS currently uses a I6 we agree here. . . . next i stated that the "new IS" will use a V6, and V8.. What is so hard about that. I sad that the new car would use the IS V6 and since that engine is already being droped into the new frames at the assembly plant then that makes it current! next order of business. The GS300 and 400. the GS400 actually in 1998 ran 0-60 in 5.7 the GS 300 was not 8secs. it was around 7 the only difference between the cars was HP.... but what is HP if the power is not transfered to the wheels via a great transmission. the drive trains for the cars were identical. both electronically limited to 149mph so the only difference was that the GS 400 now 430 accelerates just a bit quicker than the V6. So the end result is that the cars are equal after a quarter mile or more... So why would someone pay 10-15,000 more for a quarter mile of acceleration, when they more than likely live in a city with plenty of stop lights, and turns, and will never get to experience the trill in the first place. So yes the 300 sold more because the 400 did not offer more for the money as far as the ratio between dollar and performance... The 300 was a better buy which explains the reason that you see more GS300's than 400 series on the road.

well i believe that all japanese entry level models may be refered to as economy cars. and yes the are economical. As far as honda everything from the Accord down is economic, and toyota everything from the Camry down. The emergence of a new line of toyota economy cars is evidence that there are plans to bump up the origonal line a notch. He then advanced and bettered the technology of the existing Japanesse automaker and employed it into his own car, which was comemorated with the S2000. since then Honda has bassicallly waited on toyota to move first and then top toyotas move by improving what has already been done.
ok the Supra and the SC well i will have to explain this very carfully as to not allow any more room for misconception... Yes the top target different crowds. but so do honda and toyota. yet they are competitors. honda's prime buyer is 18-30 while toyota until present has targeted 25-40 there is a small area in which the two markets lapse. this is where the competition occurs. usually the (family) sedans, suvs, and van. the Supra and SC are no different yet the conflict occurs within the same manufacturer. supra targets 20- early 40 while SC targets 25-30up using sophistication as a reason for older buyers to choose this performance car. the to aim for simular things, but at different people. the SC perhapes a more mature, and well off person. and the supra young and full of energy but not so well off. ( being that the new supra will be 25-35,000) ( not the exotic which will be 100,000 plus) however there may be those of higher class and of actual possible market that would opt for the supra becuase it achieves the same objective, and cost less, is a performance piece, and would pshycologically give them a feel of rejuvenation, and youthfullness. Further more the buyer wouldn't mis out on much luxury. being that toyota is based on luxury, and not so much on performance as honda. the new supra will of course offer all the creature comforts that the Sc could offer maybe minus a navigation screen. but so what I'd sure buy the supra without even thinking twice... finally someone who is on an upper level. however, I would like to qestion you... Why should spelling and grammer be a concern... this is a get together page, if we were actually meeting in or at a place and conversing about these sorts of things we wouldn't all be in suits and ties, and of course using proper Angolan English.
I am happy that you are able to compile such a well planned, and organized arguement.

Which i do believe is the topic for this address on honda Acura.net. So here we go again. You people fail to realize that this place is not as serious as it is made out to be by the multitudes who inhabit this place. This place is to discuss rumor and automotive news. However when someone brings news, or rumors that are not to your taste. What do you do. . . You attempt to mock them, and discourage them. Which I have presented before, What you people are attempting to do actually destroys the very foundation that this portion of honda acura. net encourages.
NorCal DC4 you were never involved in the argument. the specific comment was not directed towards the entire honda acura.net community that comment was directed to a specific group of persons and those persons know whom they are. wording that comment the way it is was my act of personalizing one statement to actually speak individually to each of those persons. You are not completely correct. no matter how well or poorly somthing is presented there is always room for misconception. Why because different backgrounds, personalities, education, and cultures will all percieve things differently. A prime example would be the many different views from the message of the Bible. Those who agree with one another eventually assembled their own variations of the religion. However they are all in agreement to their view.
In this place you all agree because you are of a specific creed. I am an outsider therefore I am not accepted. Why is it not acceptable for me to admit that I have made err? as long as I correct that err. Or announce that it is indeed an err? what difference should it make?
I never asked you to be a mind reader. or to debate. In fact debate was the last thing I wanted. I simply wanted to make an announcement and see feedback. Not see ---> your an azzwhole <--- ---> what the f**k are you talking about <--
That is exactly what i talk about when I say I am not accepted, and you all are of one view. I origonally said nothing to enrage, or anger anyone. But any and all feedback was either hostile and agressive, or insulting, and vengefull.
If i have not been successful as far as communicating clearly then how is it that you feel you understood enough to respond? if the writing was "uncomprehensible" then how could you form an argument against somthing you cant understand? How can you say " hey this is wrong because I cant understand what it is" yet reply?" May simply be "wrong" to you because you don't understand" You cannot say such things. IF a small child who usually reads the story of Jack and Jill picks up twenty thousand leagues under the sea. Would they be able to comprehend the book on the level the author intended? would they even draw the same meaning? would it even be interesting to them? But if they say it dosn't make any sense does that mean it's true? when they say no one should read anymore of this persons writing, because of this, is it necessarily the right thing to say?
Even someone of high intellect will draw a meaning far different from what was intended. No one can really no but the person who wrote it themself. Just as a peice of poetry. Two people can hardly come to the same conclusion on a peice. for example...

between the multitudes of honda acura.net are you telling me that each person should arrive at the same conclusion, or meaning. That a person should some way be able to manipulate a persons mind? by means of script? of course this is impossible, we are not drones, or computers, we are human beings, and the writing isn't some program that lies in stone with set peramiters. But a work of art, made to make the mind God has blessed us with think, and draw your own meaning, and take it how you will. Does this mean that the writer should allow you to read his mind to find out what he wants the poem to mean? No.
I have come to grips that you people are very hard to talk to. what started as a comment and an informative statment. Has turned into unfathomed things.
we shall start from the beginning then.
I have also seen evidence of a new supra. My sources say that there will be a V6 and a V8. the V6 will more than likely derive from the new IS engine... Being that the new IS300 will have this V6 engine. There will also be a IS430 but it will house a V8. . . I have no clue where the V8 comes from. It may be NA or possibly use the LS500's new engine. There will also be a toyota super car. which will basically be a high end supra. There was talk of a V12. However Toyota wants to go no higher that 10cyl..... This supercar has been talked about for some time now. Its been rumored to be calls the 4000 GT, and 5000GT... but could also be called Supra 4000/5000GT.
Has anyone else seen or hear anything that would point to this? or seen any further proof. I know that the supra's lower end is in stone. Because Toyota is loosing out in the market. The 350Z. NSX, and mazda's new 8 have left toyota naked and standing out in the cold.. So the Supra 350 is coming. But what of the Super Supra GT?

That is exactly what i talk about when I say I am not accepted, and you all are of one view. I origonally said nothing to enrage, or anger anyone. But any and all feedback was either hostile and agressive, or insulting, and vengefull.
If i have not been successful as far as communicating clearly then how is it that you feel you understood enough to respond? if the writing was "uncomprehensible" then how could you form an argument against somthing you cant understand? How can you say " hey this is wrong because I cant understand what it is" yet reply?" May simply be "wrong" to you because you don't understand" You cannot say such things. IF a small child who usually reads the story of Jack and Jill picks up twenty thousand leagues under the sea. Would they be able to comprehend the book on the level the author intended? would they even draw the same meaning? would it even be interesting to them? But if they say it dosn't make any sense does that mean it's true? when they say no one should read anymore of this persons writing, because of this, is it necessarily the right thing to say?
Even someone of high intellect will draw a meaning far different from what was intended. No one can really no but the person who wrote it themself. Just as a peice of poetry. Two people can hardly come to the same conclusion on a peice. for example...

between the multitudes of honda acura.net are you telling me that each person should arrive at the same conclusion, or meaning. That a person should some way be able to manipulate a persons mind? by means of script? of course this is impossible, we are not drones, or computers, we are human beings, and the writing isn't some program that lies in stone with set peramiters. But a work of art, made to make the mind God has blessed us with think, and draw your own meaning, and take it how you will. I have also seen evidence of a new supra. My sources say that there will be a V6 and a V8. the V6 will more than likely derive from the new IS engine... Being that the new IS300 will have this V6 engine. There will also be a IS430 but it will house a V8. . . I have no clue where the V8 comes from. It may be NA or possibly use the LS500's new engine. There will also be a toyota super car. which will basically be a high end supra. There was talk of a V12. However Toyota wants to go no higher that 10cyl..... This supercar has been talked about for some time now. Its been rumored to be calls the 4000 GT, and 5000GT... but could also be called Supra 4000/5000GT.
Has anyone else seen or hear anything that would point to this? or seen any further proof. I know that the supra's lower end is in stone. Because Toyota is loosing out in the market. The 350Z. NSX, and mazda's new 8 have left toyota naked and standing out in the cold.. So the Supra 350 is coming. But what of the Super Supra GT?

You people fail to realize that this place is not as serious as it is made out to be by the multitudes who inhabit this place. This place is to discuss rumor and automotive news. NorCal DC4 you were never involved in the argument. the specific comment was not directed towards the entire honda acura.net community that comment was directed to a specific group of persons and those persons know whom they are. wording that comment the way it is was my act of personalizing one statement to actually speak individually to each of those persons. That way I would not have to repeat the comment for each person. . . if I was speaking to a hole I would have said the following. . . You'all are simply so tangled in your attempt's to disprove me that you are doing nothing more than discrediting yourselve's.
You are not completely correct. no matter how well or poorly somthing is presented there is always room for misconception. Why because different backgrounds, personalities, education, and cultures will all percieve things differently. A prime example would be the many different views from the message of the Bible. Those who agree with one another eventually assembled their own variations of the religion. However they are all in agreement to their view.
In this place you all agree because you are of a specific creed. I am an outsider therefore I am not accepted. Why is it not acceptable for me to admit that I have made err? as long as I correct that err. Or announce that it is indeed an err? what difference should it make?

the V6 supra will use this engine you speak of. as you have stated it will be found in other toyota models, so why wouldn't it be used in the new supra? How could this be a wrong statment? and as far as your other comment please refer to my previous post, and read the 8th paragraph

like I said before is toyota makes the new supra, then there will be a problem... the Mr spyder sells for the about the same price the new supra will sell for.. SO the new supra will kill the sells, of the already suffering sells of the MR. no one will buy a spyder if the supra offers that much more, and is priced about the same.. which leads me to think what I said in one of my earlier posts
